Yuji Tokunaga

Originally born in China and relocating to Japan at age 11, Yuji Tokunaga experienced firsthand the challenges of adapting across cultures. After graduating from university, he began his career at the Bank of China before joining Recruit Co., Ltd. in 2007, a publicly listed company with tens of thousands of employees and one of Japan’s leading HR and staffing enterprises. There, he specialized in HR solutions and enterprise recruitment. In 2012, he founded JoBins, inspired by his vision of creating equal opportunities for all, including foreign talent. Drawing on both his cross-border background and extensive career in the HR industry, Tokunaga has developed deep expertise in the recruitment and retention of international professionals in Japan, having facilitated over 830 successful hires across both domestic and international talent to date.
